British singer and songwriter Ann Lee (born Annerley Gordon) first made her mark on pop history behind the scenes, penning dancefloor classics including Corona's
"Rhythm Of The Night".
In 1999, she stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist, with the release of the
irresistibly catchy "2 Times." Built around bubbling synths, pulsing beats and her honey sweet vocals, the track became a global phenomenon. In the UK it peaked at No. 2 on the singles chart selling over half a million copies.
"2 Times" paved the way for Ann Lee's debut album Dreams, a shimmering snapshot of late-90s eurodance. The record blends euphoric club energy with melodic pop hooks, pairing glossy synths with Ann Lee's sweet, soulful delivery. Alongside "2 Times", the album produced further European hits with "Voices" (UK Top 40) and "Ring My Bell".
Twenty five years on, "2 Times" has experienced a resurgence after a remix by
superstar DJs Dimitri Vegas and Steve Aoki went viral in 2024, amassing hundreds of millions of streams and introducing Ann Lee's music to a new generation of dance fans. Now, Dreams receives its first-ever vinyl release. Pressed on limited orange vinyl, this long awaited pressing is a must-have for collectors, and a celebration of one of 90s dance music's most joyful albums.
